The Safaniya oil field is operated and owned by Saudi Aramco, located 200km north of Dhahran in the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia. This is one of the largest offshore oil fields in the world, with 37 billion barrels of oil reserves. This is just one of the prestigious projects where Seacontractors operates vessels and crew.
Our vessels and project qualified (Saudi Aramco) crew assist during offshore and subsea construction works consisting of amongst others: cable laying, pipe-laying, towing, anchor handling, commissioning and decommissioning of platforms in the oil and gas fields.
Towage
Seacontractors vessels regularly sails from ports all over the world to perform sea towages. Towages are performed in various conformations, whether it’s a hull, a dry-dock, barges, floating cranes or other dredging, renewable and offshore equipment. Our vessels are designed for long-distance ocean towages.
Seacontractors offers an all-in solution, depending on the specific requirements of our clients. From preparing the voyage (weather conditions, wave heights, currents, ports of refuge etc.), a towing plan including the design and strength of the equipment, arranging a suitable leading tug and/or assisting tug(s), arrange a port call, to all communications with authorities. Seacontractors has a proven track record of safely delivering of towed objects. With our experienced crew, we operate a 24/7 service throughout the year.

WRECK REMOVAL
Seacontractors’ track record includes assistance with wreck removal operations. Wrecked vessels often require to be removed, especially if the vessel poses a threat to the environment or is a hazard to navigation. These types of operations require mobilization of heavy salvage equipment, including floating sheerlegs and cranes, heavy-lift barges and other specialized equipment.
Renewables
From the Netherlands to Taiwan, Seacontractors has an impressive track record and proven experience in assisting with constructing renewables offshore wind parks worldwide. Renewables is a highly innovative industry which is quickly developing and will continue to grow for the foreseeable future.
Our vessels have specialized equipment on board to operate optimum in the renewable industry. Such as heavy-duty cranes, and in general our vessels are designed to assist in dredging and offshore projects in shallow waters. Our usual work scopes are anchor handling, towing, pulling, pushing and positioning of barges, hose handling, buoy installation, assisting with shore landing of export cables and many other duties within the scope of work.

maritime infrastructure
Seacontractors has operated in numerous maritime infrastructure development projects all over the world. Maintenance or developments of ports and waterways, including quays, jetties, breakwaters and dredging, Seacontractors holds deep expertise in these aspects of maritime infrastructure.
The replacement of the railway bridge ‘Getingmidjan’ in Stockholm city center, the renovation of the breakwaters in Klaipéda and the construction of the 18-kilometer-long Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, are some examples of the prestigious projects where Seacontractors operates.
